no it is NOT a uprgrade you don't need pinnacle 11 to install this!
This is NOT an upgrade, its the full studio 12 version, you dont need a serial as it is already put in for you and the best thing is everthing is already unlocked, no need to put a thousand keys in from a keygen to unlock all the transitions and other features. EXCELLENT
ok...i understand that it ain't an upgrade and it's the full version, but I've already got 11 Ultimate installed. Can I use this one as an upgrade or must I uninstall 11 first, clean out my registry and then install this 12?

yeah, I have studio 11 installed too, I install this and it didn't overwrite 11. I now have both on my comp and both work without fault. the only downside I could see is the bonus disc for 11 wont work with 12. other than that they are two completely seperate programs and you can have both on at the same time
so "kingknog" what ur saying is that 11 cannot be upgraded with this 12 and it's a clean install then? And u also say that the bonus disk that comes with 11 won't work with this 12. Is that a bonus disk included with this 12 then? And if not, anyone know where it can be had?
yeah its a clean install, but when i put the bonus disc in for studio11 it asked did i want to repair or uninstall it, wont let me install it again for studio 12, this might be because i already had it installed with studio 11, but I found out you can browse to the install folders of studio 11 where the menu's are and use them that way with studio 12. but i'm gonna uninstall 11, no need to have it on now I know 12 is working and the bonus disc migh tinstall if 11 is not on.

Update about studio 11 bonus dics. I unistalled studio 11 and the bonus disc but it still wont let me install the studio 11 bonus disc into studio 12. But before you uninstall studio 11 go to the install directory and copy the "menus 16x9" folder to somewhere else, you can browse to this from studio 12 and still use the menu's. also copy the plugins folder from studio 11 to the plugins folder for studio 12. all the plugins I have tried up to now have still worked.

Downloaded it. No problems with installation or what so ever. Works well. My PC slowed down and had hard times during editing. So I unistalled and removed it.

As for Studio 12... its more like Studio 11.3. Not much difference as far as I can see yet, but will hopefully resolve some of the issues in time and patches.
It is possible to have both 11 and 12 installed at the same time so there is no need to worry about switching back and forth. Thanks again.

I can take RTFX Volume 2 for an example , it´s activated in the password-list but there is only Standard RTFX, Studio Plus RTFX and RTFX Volume 1 in the effect-list. Have I missed something?

Can somebody help me activate MPEG-2 Encoding/Decoding, MPEG-4/DivX Encoding/Decoding for Studio Ultimate 12. When I am trying to activate them, I get respond that I am using the serial number that already in use. I have the MAGNiTUDE keygen that generates the serial numbers, but when I submit it, it gives me that message. Thank you.

FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING THE MPEG-4 ACTIVATION PROBLEM, like mitancs...
It took me a while to figure it but...
-Forget the online activation thing.
1. Go to help, then "enter activation keys".
2. First enter the "Studio 12 Ultimate" activation key provided by the keygen (I am assuming you know how to use that one by now, just like it was done the first time)
3. Then enter the MPEG-4 activation key
And that's it the mpeg 4 should be unlocked.

All plugins are unlocked but I can't seem to access them. They don't appear
To access all of the plugins, you need the pinnacle 11 bonus content dvd. To install it though, you must first go into the StudioPlus12 folder of this torrent then the content transfer folder and double click on content transfer wizard. From there, follow the instructions and it will prepare your pc for the installation of the bonus content dvd. After it is done preparing, you then need to run the setup from the pinnacle 11 bonus content dvd and it works!!

I'm not sure if it was this torrent, or another, but I downloaded and installed it correctly. Then it worked perfect, but whenever I tried watching films or videos or anything on windows media player, something popped up titled, "Windows Installer". The message is something about installing studio 12. Now why is Studio 12 linked to my media player? If this is the right torrent and the one I downloaded was a bad one. please tell me.

running xp...when I unrar the first file as directed, I only find folders and an autorun.inf file which seems to point no where. IDEAS?

After downloading my firewall wanted me to allow some files... PER.exe, UMI.exe, and RM.exe. After searching google, PER.exe is said to be a trojan, anyone have any information on this? Otherwise, this works great...

1. use winrar or extractnow (i like extractnow better but winrar is the most popular) to extract JUST THE FIRST rar file in the list. the rest are just there in case one is corrupt. YOU DO NOT NEED TO EXTRACT ALL OF THEM!!
2. open the folder studio12plus and open the file named "Setup" YOU DO NOT NEED TO BURN/MOUNT ANYTHING!
3. follow the installation process like normal
4. on the key screen everything should be automatically put in for you YOU SHOULD NOT NEED A KEYGEN! you don't have to register but it will be better to just get it out of the way now so it doesn't keep bugging you every time you open the program.
5. Install the programs you want i mostly just did pinnacle burner and studio plus

I am new to doing this type of install and have a few questions. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this install? I downloaded the file and I have 19 rar files and one text file but I have no clue how to install it. Is this Ultimate v12?

Everything on this works great man, I appreciate it. And for people wondering, it DOES work with Vista. You're probably going to need a decent amount of RAM to make it run smoothly though. I have a little over 2 gigs and it's running pretty well. Have fun.

you dont need a crack all you do is enter the serial n everything is already in place, all you do is press enter when it ask to register the product
Hey. I downloaded and followed the instructions and read all the comments here. No matter what I try or do I still get that the data1cab is corrupted so I can't even install the first bit completely. Please help. And then I know more corrupt files show up because they did when I first tried to unpack them.

I know some people are having trouble installing even with the simple readme file, so i'll walk you through it step by step:
1. use winrar or extractnow (i like extractnow better but winrar is the most popular) to extract JUST THE FIRST rar file in the list. the rest are just there in case one is corrupt. YOU DO NOT NEED TO EXTRACT ALL OF THEM!!
2. open the folder studio12plus and open the file named "Setup" YOU DO NOT NEED TO BURN/MOUNT ANYTHING!
3. follow the installation process like normal
4. on the key screen everything should be automatically put in for you YOU SHOULD NOT NEED A KEYGEN! you don't have to register but it will be better to just get it out of the way now so it doesn't keep bugging you every time you open the program.
5. Install the programs you want i mostly just did pinnacle burner and studio plus
6. go back to the main unzipped folder "Pinnacle Sudio 12 Ultimate by Mick" and then into the folder "Studio12Ultimate"
7. once again open the file "setup"

everything went just fine, but once the program is running and press i any any bottom on the progran, a screen pops up and says "An invalid argument was encountered" and it shuts down the program, any suggestions plz, its an awesome program and i really want to use it! sometimes it doesn't load all the way and stays stuck like in 90% when i open the program, any help suggestions, thank

Hmm... If you activate the program with included key, you can not download updates from piinacle, can you???

You can upgrade to 12.1 version but you have to use original crackers key and e-mail.
They are saved to registeration form, so copy and paste from there.
Sadly, my program still keeps crashing during heavy usage...

Most of my transitions from Studio 11 are not activating, including, HFX volume 2 and 3. I tried the old keygen for Hollywood Fx 6.0 but it didn't work, any ideas??

Ok. Installed plus just fine. I had all the info in the registration pop up but I didn't write down the email address which you need in order to get the update.
I also DO NOT have the setup.exe file in the Studio12ultimate folder that you use to upgrade the plus version.
All I have are a bunch of .mst files, a graffiti folder, and an autorun info file. THATS IT.
Plus seems to work great. I just need the email again for the update.
Should I unzip the next .rar file and see if it is in there?

I got the ultimate installed now. I did have to extract the second .rar file in order for the ultimate install.
Now all I need is that email address. I may just uninstall and reinstall and see if that works so I can get that email again.

How do I unlock all the other features. when I open enter activation key list... It come up in a different language. Is there a way to change that of is anyone else having that same problem?

whats crap about studio 12 plus is that it drop frames when I capture from sertain vhs tapes resulting in video and audio beeing out of sync. I have not found a solution to this, and in addition the program hangs at times. That really sucksas I've payed for it. I'll give this a try and hopefully I won't be having this issue. It also seems that the usb capture device included does not work on anything other that pinnacle programs, which totally blows. Me is pissed off:(

I too was one of the suckers to pay for Studio 11 Ultimate and well like fuck am I going to pay for this!!! It may be good this time and they may well of sorted their problems that it had in the last release but fuck it I'm not paying, they owe me this time for screwing me over the last release.
When I try to unpack with WinRAR I get a message saying The file "???" is corrupt. Anyone know why this happened? Plus the read me in that folder is blank.
